A R Rahman to create an album on Michael Jackson

AR Rahman has decied to make a special album for his inspiration Michael Jackson. The king of pop died in mysterious circumstances and has left a void in most of us, including A.R.Rahman. Citing on the death of sound engineer friend Sridhar of Rahman, a source said, “The two deaths one after the other made Rahman realise the uncertainty of life. These tragedies have made him more spiritual.”

Rahman had earlier said, “Artistes and their art lives for ever. My late sound engineer Sridhar had brought me a video of the premiere of Michael’s Remember the Time when I was recording the track Kadal Rojave for my first movie Roja . That afternoon, that video inspired all of us. Now, there is no Sridhar and no Jackson anymore.”

A R Rahman was optimistic about working with Michael Jackson whom he had met during the Oscar Awards in Los Angeles, early this year. A.R.Rahman had this to say about the meeting, , “MJ was concerned about contemporary developmental issues such as global warming, wars and their consequences. He asked me to compose a unity anthem on the lines of We are the World for him. I nodded in awe.”

Dus Ka Dum rocks with Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff

Dus Ka Dum's latest episode featuring Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff was easily the best episode seen in a game-quiz show. The trio Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and host Salman Khan took the show to a whole new level as they talked about everything from who could pee the farthest and problems in Indian jails to why it is bad to be a gangster and why women are impossible to understand.

It was reported that the three were so much full-on with the proceedings that they would have otherwise not discussed that the team at Dus Ka Dum had to edit some scenes, lest they could get in trouble, no thanks to the mad-cap trio. Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the next Yash Raj film

Yash Raj films is not leaving anything to chance especially after New York has become a hit. Shahrukh Khan, the blue-eyed boy of Yash Raj films will star opposite India's sexiest woman Katrina Kaif. The shooting for the film will start early next year and it is reported that the film be directed either by Kabir Khan who directed New York or Aditya Chopra. Hrithik Roshan's forthcoming films

Hrithik Roshan who walked away with the best actor award almost every time he was nominated has some real good films lined up with some of the best names in the business. After a great performance in Jodhaa Akbar, Hrithik Roshan will be seen in Kites which will release next year on January 2010, to coincide with the release of his first film, the evergreen Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.

Hrithik Roshan is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish. After Guzaarish, Hrithik will be essaying the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan(immortalized by Amitabh Bachchan) in the Agneepath remake by Karan Johar. Agyaat Movie Review:Jungle Bungle

Agyaat has confirmed the fact that Ram Gopal Varma had lost his brains in the jungle. Except for camera work and a surprisingly improved performance by the eye-candy Priyanka Kothari, this movie as such is not even worth a single rating. Caution to Varma: Expect colorful language against you by the audience at the end of the film.Guess, Priyanka Kothari will surely say ‘Iss jungle se mujhe bachao’ after watching how the movie has shaped up

Story of Agyaat: Flimsy, predictable storyline that has been seen many times over; with a Predator like thing constantly knocking one person in the jungle after the other. The story is about a film crew coming to a dense forest to shoot a film. There is a tantrum throwing hero Sharman (Gautam), Asha (Priyanka Kothari), South Indian film producer Moorthy(Ishrat Ali), eccentric director J J(Howard), a subservient spot boy Laxman (Ishtiyak Khan), the idealistic cameraman Shakky (Kali Prasad), action director Rakka(Kale), assistant director Suraj(Nitin Reddy) and script supervisor girl Sameera(Rasika Duggal).

The film crew decided to go for a camping trip for two days, where there is a break in their shooting. One by one, each team member dies by an invisible(Agyaat) force. Obviously the remaining two survivors are Asha and Sujal. The story is nothing different from Darna Mana Hain where a group of college students go for a picnic, and each of them are killed. While in that one, horror had a face in the form of a serial killer, in Agyaat, there is no face for horror. In fact, there is no base for horror as you will realize by the end. Without telling you the ending, we can confidentally say that it will be a rude shock for you!

Plus points of Agyaat:
• The performance of actors in the film especially Gautam Rode, Nitin Reddy, Ishtiyak Khan and Priyanka Kothari.This girl seriously needs a better film maker.
• Full marks to Ram Gopal Varma to experiment with new actors. Regardless of how frivolous his movies are, one cannot negate the fact that he has the potential to make household names out of rank new actors.
• Good camera work especially in the scene where the eccentric director JJ is killed. Unlike other movies of RGV, where the camera would deceive the audiences by exaggerating trivial things as horror, here the camera has a wide screen view and with a potential to thrill in a better manner.

Minus points:
• 75 percent of the 1st half has no story. Whatever is remaining is lifted from Predator
• Screenplay is amateurish and dialogues are dismal. Some of the dialogues are rehashed from Ramu’s earlier films. Dialogues like ‘Tujhe haath kya payr bhi lagauna’ is lifted from Rangeela.
• Ram Gopal Varma should realize that he was making a horror movie not a serial that people can watch for free. He will definitely invite the ire of the people, even though he paves the way for a sequel. By the way, do you even care for a sequel, if the first part is crap?

Final point: Agyaat promo says, “You cannot escape the unknown” The thought of spending 150 bucks on this movie is SCARY.

Priyanka Kothari is a brave girl. The actress exposed in stupid Ram Gopal Verma films like Shiva and no one really cared. Priyanka Kothari who has abandoned 'Nisha' from Kothari is now hoping that Agyaat will do the trick. Yep, Priyanka is still doing her moves, strutting in bikini, making the camera ogle at her superb figure, but she must be hoping that somewhere she gets her share of limelight.

As for Agyaat, the damsel is truly aimless about the movie has shaped up. "We are all in the dark just as the audience are" Priyanka states. There are reports that Agyaat has been shot with 5 diferent endings and no one but the Aag director knows about the movie's true end. This really is a horror now! Hope Priyanka Kothari does not have to say "Iss Jungle se Mujhe Bachao' after seeing how Agyaat turns out.
