Pyaar Impossible: Priyanka Chopra’s first release of 2010, Pyaar Impossible is the story of the college’s hottest babe being the apple of nerd Uday Chopra’s eyes. He loves her very much but doesn’t have the courage to expess his feelings. Uday Chopra has scripted this love story (Release date: January 8)


Chance Pe Dance: Directed by Ken Ghosh, starring Shahid Kapur and Genelia D’Souza, Chance Pe Dance is the story of a guy who is passionate about joining Bollywood but does not a break. The movie was originally titled Yahoo and then Star, before Chance Pe Dance became the actual title of the movie. Jiah Khan was originally the heroine of the film, but was dropped due to some reason (Release date: January 15)

Veer: Veer is an epic film, based in the year 1825. The film stars Salman Khan, Zarine Khan(debutant), Sohail Khan, Mithun Chakraborthy and Jackie Shroff. Veer has been written by Salman Khan and Shailesh Verma, and directed by Anil Sharma. (Release date: January 22)

Ishqiya: Ishqiya starring Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseerudin Shah, is a story set in Uttar Pradesh. . Two thieve Naseerudin Shah and Arshad Warsi, are on the run from their boss,.They seek refuge with an old friend but instead meet his widow, Vidya Balan. As they plan their escape, the duo find themselves getting drawn to the woman. (Release date: January 29)

Rann: Rann is yet another Ram Gopal Verma outing, but this one seems to be a promising one from the erratic director. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Neetu Chandra, Gul Panag and Suchitra Krishnamurthy. (Release date: January 29)

• Right Yaa Wrong: Right Yaa Wrong directed by Neeraj Pathak stars Sunny Deol, Isha Koppikar, Konkona Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan. It is a story of two dare devil police officers, Sunny Deol and Irrfan Khan, who later become arch rivals. Release date: February )

• My Name is Khan: One of the most awaited films of 2010, My Name is Khan has Shahrukh Khan back, with 9/11 as the backdrop. Rizwan Khan(Shahrukh Khan) suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, an autistic disease that makes the victim lack empathy. Among many reasons to watch this film, the scintillating SRK-Kajol pairing that has never failed, seems to inspire fans the most.Last but not the least, it is a Karan Johar film (Release date:February 14)

Teen Patti: Teen Patti, created by an all-women team behind the camera, has Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley at the helm. The movie is directed by Leena Yadav. It seems to be a rip-off the Hollywood film 21. In this film, Amitabh Bachchan plays a brilliant mathematics professor who leads a team of college students to make a lot of money (Release date: February 26)

Karthik Calling Karthik: A psychological thriller, and possibly Farhan Akhar’s career-best performance(you heard it here first), Karthik Calling Karthik stars Deepika Padukone and Shefali Shah too. The movie is directed by Vijay Lalwani. In this film, Farhan Akhtar, who is basically a loser in life meets his namesake and his life changes forever.

Action Replay: Action Replay, inspired by Brad Pitt’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, has Akshay Kumar’s life going in a flash back.Possibly the story will start with the present Akshay Kumar ending with his baby version in the end.Akshay Kumar’s lucky charm Vipul Shah(or the other way round) is directing this one. The movie starts the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai and the fiery Neha Dhupia

Kites: Kites, Hrithik Roshan’s first venture of 2010 has been widely awaited. It is the story of a salsa dancer who fals in love with his student. There is a thrilling twist in the romantic tale. We hear that the story starts with a mortally wounded men left to die in the heat of the desert sun, in the harsh terrain of the Mexican desert. The movie stars Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut.(Release date:: March 14)


Raajneeti: Raajneeti, the modern version of Mahabharata has Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Nana Patekar in leading roles Katrina Kaif is supposedly playing the role of Sonia Gandhi, with the same get-up and accent. Possibly Katrina Kaif’s career-best performance

Raavan: Raavan will have Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai together for the first time on the silver screen, post marriage. It is a political thriller directed by one of the finest directors in India, Mani Rathnam

Houseful: Expect another mad-cap comedy from Akshay Kumar, as Sajid Khan directs this fun-story that has Akshay Kumar unlucky in love and life. Three women help him reach his goal, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan and Lara Dutta.

Hissss: Hissss brings back the sizzle-drizzle, Mallika Sherwat back. Hollywood collaborates with Bollywood to produce Hissss. Mallika plays a snake who is on the way to seek vengeance. An American visitor steps into the jungles of India and kills the female snake's mate which makes her seek revenge. Expect a lot of special effects in this flick. Apparently Mallika Sherwat who is dressed in a painfully heavy snake costume(she couldnt even go to the loo for 10 hours flat while shooting for this film) has no dialogue to mouth in the film.



  • It's My Life: Genelia D'Souza The sweetheart of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na(2008) pairs up with Harman Baweja in the movie Its My Life. The movie is directed by the director with the superhit track record, Anees Bazmee.


Dhobighaat: Dhobighaat is Aamir Khan's wife Kiran's directorial debut. Ace Khan-Aamir Khan has been roped in to play a prominent role in the film. The film also stars Prateik Babbar. The movie explores the underbelly of Mumbai.

No Problem: Anees Bazmee directs No Problem, starring a good star cast comprising Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Akshaye Khan and Sushmita Sen. It is a slap-stick love story

Guzaarish: Hrithik Roshan should come up with a winner for this one. Gujaarish is an English film directed by Sanjay Leela (the Hindi version should be dubbed). In this movie, Hrithik Roshan plays a radio-jockey who is a paraplegic. It is a tear-jerker exploring the dilemma of euthanasia. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai star in this film.

Anjaani Anjaani: Anjaani Anjaani is a rom-com by Siddarth Anand that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra

Well Done Abba: Well Done Abba is Shyam Benegal’s venture with Boman Irani in a double role. This film is basically a story of a man called Arman Ali who is in search of a suitor for his daughter (Minissha Lamba)

Race 2: Race 2 has Abbas Mustan back after the immensely successful Race. The movie, adapted on the lines of ‘Stealth’ (they bought the rights) will have Saif Ali Khan opposite Kareena Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh

Golmaal 3: Rohit Shetty who has been giving us Diwali gifts each year, ever since 2007: Golmaal, Golmaal Returns and All the Best, will come up with Golmaal 3 on October. It will have the same guys with the possible exception of Arshad Warsi. Sharman Joshi is back in the film, according to reports

1-800-Love: Abbas Tyrewala returns to direction with 1-800-Love, a love story between two adults, one who want to die and the other who is searching for a new meaning in life. The music is by A.R.Rahman. Madhu Mantena who produced Ghajini and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na will produce this one. The film stars John Abraham and Palkhi. Palkhi is the wife of the director, who has also scripted this film

Aisha: Abhay Deol is cast opposite Sonam Kapoor. He plays a rich, spoilt Delhi brat, the story loosely based on Jane Austen’s novel Emma, is a romantic story about horrible mismatches in a relationship. Sonam Kapoor has a powerful role in the film.


Knockout: You loved the Hollywood superhit Phonebooth, now comes the desi version, Knockout. Mani Shankar directs this one, and Irfan Khan plays the role of Colin Firth. A media man is trapped for hours in a phonebooth because of an unknown assassin who has trained his gun at him. Kangana Ranaut plays the role of a journalist and Sanjay Dutt is the assassin.

Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Say: Ashutosh Gowariker, the man for history (literally) comes abck with Khelenge Jee Jaan Se, based on the Chittagong Uprising based on the book Do and Die by Manini Chatterjee. Nitin Desai will create the atmosphere while Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan will star in Khelenge Jee Jaan Se.

I Hate Luv Storys: I Hate Luv Storys has Imran Khan opposite Sonam Kapoor is an ageold story about a boy who does not believe in love, and a girl who does. Punit Malhotra who has assisted Karan Johar will be directing this film.

Hook Ya Crook: Hook Ya Crook is a movie that talks about cricket and movie-twin passions of India. Viraj Pradhan( John Abraham) wants to be a cricketer but does not have the discipline for it. There are quite a few cricketers in this flick too.
