Mile Sur Mera Tumhara Video: Why I don't Like It

On 26 January 2010, we saw the video of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara directed by Kailash Surendranath. The high profile Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara that has resurrected the famous national integration song of 1988 left a lot to be desired. Here are some things that could have been better in Mile Sur Mera Tumhara video:

1. Wonder why people like Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata and Hrithik Roshan were not in the video. These greats are any day better and greater than the 'so called' youth icons like Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor who have a long way to go, to be even considered in the frame for Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

2. Even if you do not take the second point in consideration, it is a direct insult to leave out the martyrs of 26/11. Even a fleeting glance of NSG commandos and people like Sandeep Unnikrishnan who gave his life for the country could have been kept in the video. Surely, he is a bigger Youth Icon than most of the people in the first point

3. Some parts of Phir Mile Sur Tumhara looked as if they were compromising in some areas. For isntance, both Shaan and Shreya Goshal looked to be in the same bus. Duh!
