Abhishek Bachchan has made it clear through his Twitter Message that he is not going to attend Filmfare Awards. He has directed the ire towards Mumbai Mirror who had carried a 'false report' that his wife Aishwarya Rai is not able to conceive due to stomach tuberculosis
Abhishek Bachchan has clarified through his Tweets that he will not attend Filmfare Award, which is presented by Times of India(Mumbai Mirror is its sister publication and tabolid). These are Abhishek Bachchan's Tweets about the issue:
Many have asked. NO I will NOT be attending Filmfare tonight.
And for all that have been so strong in your support. Yes, a legal notice has been sent to Mumbai Mirror.
Had hoped that it would not have come to this, but if MM is going to be unrelenting in their stand of NO APOLOGY. THEN SO AM I!

Disappointed over the false report on his wife Aishwarya Bachchan by Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek Bachchan had earlier tweeted that he had dumped the paper.
“Best part of the morning was sitting with the girls, sipping hot coffee and reading the papers. Best part? NO MUMBAI MIRROR!!” he wrote on his twitter page. “Realised that we have the ultimate power. The power of choice! I choose NOT to buy or read trash!!!” he added.
Even Abhishek Bachchan's father Amitabh Bachchan who is normally diplomatic, minced no words about taking action against anyone who insulted the women in their family.
