There have been many cases where Filmfare awards have been shared by two people. Aamir Khan certainly deserved Filmfare Award, Screen Award and many other awards for 3 Idiots. Of course, he does not come for award functions. But then, he is still given awards. Aamir Khan had got Filmfare Best Actor awards for Lagaan(2001) and Raja Hindustani(1996) even though he wasn't there to take them.
It is quite fair for Amitabh Bachchan to have won Filmfare Best Actor Award for Paa, as Bollywood Trends had predicted. But look at what the actor of the decade Aamir Khan had done for 3 Idiots:
1. He perfected the look of Ranchodas so brilliantly that he dint look one year older than 24.
2. Aamir Khan's way of walking that he said was inspired by the director Murgadoss(Ghajini fame) and his nephew Pablo's walk was so much apt and in sync with the character
3. Check out Aamir Khan rattling the 'definition of book' in one of the scenes of 3 Idiots and you know how brilliant he was
ACTING IS NOT JUST EXPRESSIONS, IT IS PERFECTING THE LOOK AND HAVING THE RIGHT BODY LANGUAGE... All the 3 aspects were done full justice to by Aamir Khan, which is why it would have been good if he had got or at least shared the best actor award with Amitabh Bachchan. Even the Filmfare critics award that could have befitted him went to Ranbir Kapoor. What was a better performance, Ranbir Kapoor's in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Khan or Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots? You decide.

ajab prem ki got an award !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my god that was one excrciatingly painful movie and mch more painful performance. i dont understand filmfare awards though. if ranbir kapoor won that for that movie, u should not be writing amir should have won it, rather say lucky amir didnt win it. this award is a joke... btw, i dont think that rancho character desrved anything special , i dint think he did anything special.. by award i dont mean filmfare...
