Both of them are in their early 40s. Akshay is 42 and Ajay is 41
Both Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar debuted in the same year, 1991. While Ajay Devgan’s cult superhit Phool aur Kaante is still revered, making him walk away with the Filmfare Best Debut Award, Akshay Kumar had a slow start. Not many saw his debut film Saugandh, and the other film Deedar(which he signed first) opposite Karisma Kapoor also flopped. It finally took the superhit Khiladi in 1992 to bring Akshay Kumar into limelight.
Both Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar signed a lot of crappy films in the 90s due to which they were typecast as mere action heroes. But still both actors maintained their consistency in terms of hits. While Akshay Kumar did Mohra, Suhaag, Main Khiladi Tu Anari,Sabse Bada Khiladi, Ajay Devgan managed to dole out some hits like Vijaypath, Diljale, Ishq, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha and Zakhm.
The turn-around year for Ajay Devgan was 1999 when he did Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He got an image makeover and he was now seriously being looked upon as an all-round actor. For Akshay Kumar, the turnaround ended in 2000 with the cult comedy HeraPheri and thus started his association with the hit machine Priyadarshan.
Both of them are dare-devil stuntmen and action heroes who do most of their stunts without body double. Ajay Devgan's entry in Phool aur Kaante is still in public memory. Akshay Kumar dwells in action. Both of them are black-belts in Karate
Both actors do comical roles very well. Ajay Devgan is a permanent fixture in Rohit Shetty films. Golmaal series and All the Best show that Ajay Devgn is the man to go for , when it comes to sensible and wacky comedies. Akshay Kumar needs no introduction when it comes to playing hilarious characters. Whenever he does a funny role, he hits jackpot like he did in Khatta Meetha. Both Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan have committed to taking funny roles because they have earned them earn huge fan-base and no one likes tear-jerkers any more.
Both actors are on a bull-run in 2010. While Khatta Meetha was Akshay’s best Once Upon a Time in Mumbai is Ajay Devgn’s best performance. He still has Golmaal 3 to go. Check out why 2010 is Ajay Devgn’s best year. Akshay Kumar fresh from the hits, Housefull and Khatta Meetha is on a roll. He now has Patiala House and Tees Maar Khan to release in 2010.

But Akshay Khiladi Kumar is the only Bollywood actor with maximum hit ratio. He has done more than 90 films and most of them have been successful .
