A.R.Rahman Bought Oscar Awards: Is Ismail Darbar Jealous?

Ismail Darbar accuses A.R.Rahman of bribing and buying Oscar awards. . He even went on to say that Rahman steals credits. At a recent press conference, the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam music director said Rahman bribed Oscar Academy officials. Read Bollywood Trends take on this issue. Readers can comment and let us know what they think. Meanwhile; here is the rest of the byte.

Ismail said, "Rahman is a very good businessman, he knows how to handle his public relations. I will yet again say that he has bought the Oscar. Also, I would like to add that the songs, that he claims to have composed, are not even his! He is just a fantastic salesperson. I have proof that Jai Ho is not his. It has been done by someone else. All the big film-makers like Subhash Ghai, Mani Rathnam know about it.”

Rahman received two Oscars in 2008 Best Original Score and Best Original Song for his music in Slumdog Millionaire. He adds, “None of them have the guts to come out and speak up, because Rahman is a big name. If he has guts, let him come out and prove me wrong. I have proofs of him having stolen credit from someone else. I can show those proofs if need be.Even when Devdas and Saathiya were up for National Awards for music, Saathiya, the music for which is composed by Rahman, won.

First of all, a dubbed movie is never given National Awards. Then, how did Saathiya get it? It is not that I am talking now. I have wanted to talk about this forever. It is just that no one ever asked me about it."

Bollywood Trends views on A.R Rahman-Ismail Darbar controversy

Looks like someone is jealous as Khatta Nimbooda!! One can sense that the insecurity of Ismail Darbar goes back to the Taal vs Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam days and later, Saathiya vs Devdas days. In both the occasions, A.R.Rahman had walked away with Filmfare awards, something that Ismail felt hard to digest.

1. This Ismail Darbar surely looks insecure. Since when did Saathiya become a dubbed movie? It was a remake, the original Tamil version Alaipayuthey had R. Madhavan and Shalini.  The Hindi version had Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee.
2. If A.R.Rahman bought Oscar, then how did he get nominated for 127 hours?
3.. Surely Rahman is good with his contacts, if Ismail isn’t any good, that is not Rahman’s problem..is it?
4. Ismail Darbar copied Nimbooda song from the original composition of Gazi Khan, a folk musician rom Rajasthan, without giving him credit…Now what do you say to that?
5. Ismail should know to first compose himself and then compose music. We already saw how moody and insecure he was in Bigg Boss.  He had threatened Tanaaz Currim and abused Bakhtiyaar Irani in a few episodes, which just exposed his frustration and sorry ego.
6. Ismail Darbar probably does not know that Rahman won Grammy Awards too. Or he would have said that even that was bought..
7. Check out Ismail Darbar's 2005 interview, we know that he has been having problem with Rahman since a long time:

"Rahman did not have time to compose the music and Subhashji wanted to start his film. So he approached me. Subhashji had spoken to Rahman earlier about the joint music direction as we did not want any misunderstanding.
I do not usually do movies where there are two music directors. But Kisna was special.
People have told me my work was better than Rahman's in Kisna. No one has told me otherwise. It could be because I have made eight songs while Rahman has created only two.
But my work has always been better than his. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was better than Taal. Even Devdas was better than Saathiya.

But it is destiny that he got international fame. Angrezo ne uska haath pakad liya hai toh logo ko lagta hai ke yeh kuch zyada hi hai (Foreigners encouraged him so people think he is very good).
I am not saying this because of jealousy. This is the bitter truth.
Whenever my work is good and he takes the awards, I feel bad.
I wonder why people run after name and fame, and not good work. Kyunki hamare yahan bahut kum akal ke log hai (we have very few intelligent people here). We see some foreigners holding someone's hand, and he becomes a big man.

But the foreigners have also praised my work in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas.
Rahman (below, right) and I have not worked together on any of the Kisna songs. His two songs were recorded even before I started work on the film. I didn't even speak to him for any of the tunes and nor did I listen to his songs before I composed mine.

I was told that Kisna is set in the 1940s. So I started visualising the songs in that period. If there were a qawwali in the nawab's haveli, how would it be? Besides, it should also appeal to the new generation. I am happy I have done justice to the film.

Ganesh Hegde Farah Khan war of words heats up

Ganesh Hedge says that Farah Khan’s psychiatrist has told him that she talks way too much. The war of words between the two has not stopped. While Hedge accused Farah of spreading negative stories about him being thrown out of a dance reality show and her being the first choice for Ra.One, Farah too retorted in the media recommending a psychiatrist to Hegde. Ganesh has chosen to retaliate. In a sarcastic vein, he says,, “Yes, I see the same doctor that Farah visits and even he feels that she talks too much. There are people who let their work talk and then there are people who let their talk work.

“Honestly, when have you seen a Farah Khan dance, please tell me that someone has seen her dance, anybody? I have done some good work in the recent past and have never spoken to anyone about making it public. Have never blown my own trumpet in 20 years, so why will I now?”

Hegde says, “I was supposed to groom the contestants on various dance styles, direct four music videos for Hrithik, and being a music maker myself, give my inputs for the dance music which is done by Pritam.

In fact, without signing any contract I have had two sittings on the music with Pritam and Hrithik, who I immensely respect. If Farah was equipped to play these many roles or if she is contributing to any of these, then she has indeed replaced me and if not, then she should just sit back and let her talks do all the hard work.

And just for the records, I have never been to the sets of the reality show so how can there be problems on the sets because of me?”

Finally speaking about Farah, Hegde says, “Earlier in the year she came out with an article calling herself the preferred choice to choreograph an act to be performed by a leading actress on an awards night. She said I got the lucky break just because of the event managers.I chose to keep quiet. Farah came in two days before the reality show launch and immediately set out an article claiming she elbowed me out of the show. How can you elbow someone out when you are a last minute replacement yourself? Farah has just bought a house in the building where I stay and sometimes, she passes by in the lobby.”

“We have always exchanged pleasantries and then out of the blue going to press saying that I have an attitude problem clearly shows who needs a doctor here. Farah is a good director, I like her sense of humour, but flexing the PR muscles and resorting to such negative publicity is an act of bullying, which no self respecting person will take lying down.”

Watch this space for Farah’s repartees.

Priyanka Chopra or Illeana-The Better Actor is..

Who is more talented Priyanka Chopra or Illeana? Who is hotter of the two? Blessed with stunning figure and delicate looks, Ileana D’ Cruz is arguably the number one star of South. Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra on the other hand, has a huge fan following who love everything about her. Now there is a smell of cat fight in the air, with both Priyanka Chopra and South Indian siren Ileana D'Cruz fighting for a larger share of role pie Anurag Basu’s Barfee.

Both the ladies feel that their respective box office value is not justified in the way it should have been in the film. Confirming the same, a source said, "Priyanka Chopra is obviously a huge star in Bollywood and she has a far more challenging role in the film. But Ilena D'Cruz too is a big star down South. She picked Barfee as her launch venture because of the producers UTV and the director Anurag Basu who is known to extract super-sensitive performances from his female actors.

Illeana’ s friends has warned her that her role may be reduced like Kangna Ranaut’s Kites specially considering Priyanka Chopra is close to Ranbir Kapoor, the film’s leading man. Obviously, Ileana wants more footage as well as a few extra songs in the film. After seeing Kangna's role being chopped in the director's project Kites, it's only natural for the South Indian star to get cold feet. Interestingly, before Illeana was offered the role, Katrina Kaif and Asin Thottumkal were approached for role Illeana is doing now. But since they did not want to be in the shadow of Priyanka, they backed out.

Dhoom 3 in 3D, D3 in 3D

After the success of Haunted 3D, most films are gearing for a 3D release like Dhoom 3 and Ragini MMS 2. Aamir Khan however has reservations about releasing Dhoom 3 in 3D. In Hollywood 3 D has been the toast of the age, with movies like like Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Step Up 3, Transformers Dark of the Moon going up the Avatar 3 D way.

Vikram Bhatt had said that most Hollywood films had only fooled audiences about 3 D, it was just converted while Haunted 3 was shot in 3D. Aditya Chopra feels that the action genre of D3 gives a lot of scope for 3D. A source informs, "With the success of Haunted 3D , India's first film in the new 3D technology, the Yash Raj banner felt that Indian audiences have opened up to 3D cinema viewing. That made them more confident to experiment with the new format".

The source further adds, "The 3D technology needs expertise and perhaps Aamir is not sure whether director Vijay Krishna Acharya (who last directed Tashan and wrote Dhoom 1 & 2 ) would be able to do justice to it",. Another rationale could be the fact that with 3D coming into picture, technology takes priority over performance. So perhaps Aamir's acting prowess might get hidden away behind the technique. As of now, Aamir is busy with Delly Belly and once this releases, he will discuss with Aditya Chopra about D3 in 3D.

Character Deela copied from Mohabbat Naam Hain Kis Ka?

The red hot song Character Dheela is copied from Mohabbat Naam Hain Kiss Ka (Ajnabee) if you go by Anu Malik’s statements.

"The full tempo, the full tune has been taken and ripped off," Anu said. "I had liked the song and had called and congratulated Aneesji for such a fantastic song. Then I found that I was clapping for my own song," he added.
Accused of plagirazing many times in the 90s, Anu Malik said that he was considering filing a suit.

"We have to take a legal opinion and then take a call. I will talk to my lawyer first as it is a straight rip-off of my song," He wonders why Pritam didn't bother to give credit to R.D. Burman for using his composition in the title song of Rohan Sippy's "Dum Maaro Dum".

"First of all they copied Panchamda's tune and called it their own. 'Dum maro dum' is actually Panchamda's composition. They don't even give credit. It's terrible. You cannot copy other's composition and call it your own and then get away and get applause," he said.

However, Salman Khan has come to the rescue of Pritam who has been quite stressed of late due to these accusations. "At Ready's music event, when people were quizzing Pritam about his lyrics, Salman asked the media why they were questioning Pritam about it as he is the music director and not the lyricist.""When someone again asked the composer about Anu Malik's assertion, Salman quipped, Haan thoda bahut tune similar hoga lekin Pritam ne Anu ka flop song likkhke gaana hit bana diya!"

Pritam says, "I am not very good at defending myself, so when Salman defended me I became emotional. In fact when I came back to my room, Bhai came in, touched my shoulder and said, 'I have cleared all the points the media had against you dude. I hope you are okay now. Nobody will trouble you after this!'"

Pritam has now decided to take legal action against such allegations. "It's very disheartening that people come up with false and baseless allegations all the time. I have asked my legal team to respond to every accusation, in court," he said.

Ready producer Bhushan Kumar says, "When a song like Mein karoon toh saala becomes a hit everyone wants a piece of the pie. The court dismissed the petition of the guy who claimed that these were his lyrics, yesterday. Salman was very sweet and defended Pritam who has been under a lot of stress, lately."
DO YOU THINK THAT CHARACTER DHEELA SONG IS LIFTED FROM MOHABBAT NAAM HAIN KISKA OF ANU MALIK. Do drop in your comments.

Sonakshi Sinha Weight Loss: How Sonakshi Sinha lost Weight

Sonakshi Sinha may be voluptuous but she was way too fat once upon a time. Sonakshi Sinha describes how she lost weight , “Initially I used to go to the gym twice a day for two hours. At that point of time, I was doing a lot of cardio, spinning and weight raining. I used to train like a boy. I used to lift really heavy weights; of course, it is not feasible to continue at that pace now. I put in around an hour to an hour and a half to tone my body."

"Now I do lighter weights with more repetitions and functional training. In between I used to swim which is also a very good form of exercise It is only functional training and caring for maintenance. I love food, I have zero control. I see food and I have to eat it. I keep going on and off diets. I would never punish my body by denying myself. I’d rather eat and then work it off. If I think I have gone overboard, I spend that extra 20 minutes on the treadmill to burn it off. I don’t deprive myself. Eating smaller meals every two or three hours does the trick to keep metabolism high. That’s work well for me."

Sonakshi Sinha's Interview: Size Zero Trend is Finally Over

The success of Dabangg and the praises still keep coming and Sonakshi SInha is not complaining Here are excerpts of an interview with the Dabangg girl:
The best compliment she has received:
Someone said, “The charm of the old world heroine is back. The size zero trend is finally over.” Rani (Mukerji) and Vidya (Balan) told me that I could actually act. Such words were very encouraging.
How does Sonakshi choose her films?
My family. Owing to the experience they have. My father has been in films for the longest time and he’s done some great films. They are the first people I consult when a film comes my ways

Which are the films you have in hand right now?

There’s Joker and Prabhu Deva’s film with Akshay (Kumar). Dabangg 2 and Kick with Salman (Khan), Race 2 with Saif (Ali Khan) and a film with Kamal Haasan.

All your heroes are practically twice your age. Is it easy to relate to them?

They are much older but it doesn’t feel that way on the set when you’re playing a role. Even off the set they’re fun people to be around and easy to get along with.
Don’t you think the ‘no-intimate scenes, no exposing’ clause you insist on may put off producers? What if they came up with ‘the role demands it’ justification?
Right now, it doesn’t look like it’s putting anyone off. I’m getting good work. Why get into an unpleasant situation once filming starts. Everyone has certain values and principles they follow and these are mine.

Has your family laid down these rules for you?
No, they didn’t really have to spell it out to me. It’s just something that’s been instilled in me since childhood.

There are speculations about Salman and you too. And these are fanned when you address Arbaaz as bhai but not Salman.
If I’m talking about a co-star who I’m romancing on screen, I have to maintain that image. I can’t exactly call him bhai.

Would you tie a rakhi to him?
That’s a very odd question. We have been family friends. So there is mutual respect. Nothing has to be done or said to reinforce that bond.

Are you interested in politics?
Not everyone has the aptitude for politics. My brothers do, I don’t. I’m very blunt and blatant but not shrewd at all. I’m happy doing what I am currently doing.

Have you ever been to Bihar?
Of course, several times. My grandmother used to live there and we used to go every year to meet her.

You’re pretty active on Twitter and the morphed picture of Shahid Afridi being hit by an Indian cricketer you put up created quite a stir. What made you do it?

I’m so glad you asked me this question. It was all in good fun. There were a lot of other morphed pictures put up too that were unflattering to the Indian team.

Did any hate tweets come your way?
Yes, mainly from Pakistan. It’s silly. It’s a game and they lacked the sportsman’s spirit. But it’s okay. I’m unaffected.

Describe Mr. Right.
He has to be taller than me for sure (I’m 5’ 8”), must have a sense of humour, that spark of intelligence and good looks.

Would you opt for an arranged or love marriage?
Love marriage. Because I’d definitely like to know the person I’m to spend the rest of my life.

You are constantly compared to Reena Roy. Who do you think you resemble?

I’ve been compared to a lot of people like Hemaji’s, Vyjayanthimalaji and Reenaji. I get tweets telling me that I belong to the era of Madhubalaji. They are all beautiful women. So I have no complaints being compared to any of them.

Katrina Kaif cannot act-Sopia Hayat

Katrina Kaif is a bad actor; this is something that Sofia Hayat or Sofia Hayat-Khan, the British Asian actress, singer and model feels. Sophia will be debuting in a Bollywood film
"Diary of a Butterfly".

Though she donned a bikini for Diary of a Butterfly, Sophia says she is a good actor.
"I am a trained actor with a degree in acting and dance. How many actors in India have that? I have come here with six years' acting experience," says Sofia.

The actress, who has been in Mumbai for the last six months, has already been signed up for three films. She claims she knows her "trade well", unlike other Indian actors. "If Katrina Kaif, who has no talent, can make it big, then watch out India, here comes Sofia. I've watched her (Katrina) perform live to Sheila Ki Jawani and she was expressionless. She was like, 'How much am I getting paid to do this show?'" claims Sofia.

Quiz her about the media reports claiming that she is of Pakistani origin, and she sets the record straight: "Both my parents are Indian, while my great grandfather was Persian. I don't know how these reports came out wrong."

The actress, who is noted for her glamorous image, says that she is not in India for the money. "Believe me, I have made big money in England. I have written a book and I have starred in a BBC series as well. I am a successful actor and I am here only to do meaningful cinema," she says.

And though she's used to wearing skimpy outfits, Sofia says she has outdone herself with her latest sexy photoshoot. "It's my first bikini scene ever in my six-year-long career. And I know it's quite hot on the web, what with people comparing me to other Bollywood stars in a bikini. I worked hard for it as I am not naturally thin. I lost three kgs and my picture has not been photoshopped. I am very pleased with the result and it's my body you see in those pictures. I know for sure that Minissha Lamba's picture has been photoshopped from head to toe," says Sofia.

"I have no qualms about doing bikini scenes. After all, I am an artiste and an artiste's job is to entertain," she insists.

As to how the industry works, Sofia says, "The Indian film industry is way different from the one in UK. There, the focus is not so much on what you look like but on your talent. Here, Bollywood demands one to be glamorous as well." Does she network with Bollywood biggies? "I think Indian actors are a little stuck-up. They are very pretentious," she laughs.

Asin is hot property these days, with her release Ready just about ready. She has also signed Housefull 2. How has good friend Salman Khan takes this considering Asin who is on good terms with him, has gone ahead and done a film with SRK, his biggest rival? Well, the Ghajini actress does not care less, as she is too career driven to think about these trivialities.

Asin also become the first among her contemporaries to work with all the 3 Big Khans in the industry.
Her contemporaries Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma still have to do a film with all the 3 big Khans, Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan.

"Asin is already a part of Housefull 2 and hence she often featured in the discussions about the casting for 2 States. She is currently out of town but is expected to sign the papers as soon as she lands back in city," reveals the source.

Since 2 States need a South Indian face for the female lead, names from Vidya Balan to Illeana were being tossed around. Finally, it was Asin.

Shweta Tiwari interview: When Pregnant, Raja hit me for the first time

It's said that you don't allow Raja to meet Palak?

Gosh. You are straight to the point. To tell you the truth, I do let him meet her. If he comes to his senses, I have no problem. But every time, he comes sloshed at 3 am. He abuses, breaks things around. He is not in a proper state of mind. Palak is scared of him and doesn't want to meet him. You tell me, what should I do (shrugs and pauses).

Go on…

Raja used to cry and give sob stories to the police. They never believed me. Record karke lao, they said. One day, I recorded his violent and abusive behaviour at my house and only after that, they sent the cops.

Rewind. How did your fairytale romance with Raja turn to a nightmare?

We married after just three months of knowing each other. It was a mistake. We hardly knew anything about each other.

My family was against him. But I was 19 and stupid. After a few days, I found him drinking heavily. He blamed it on his social circle.

Soon after, I found myself pregnant. I went to my in-laws in Meerut. His sister Shalu was getting married. While I was away, I heard that he was getting too close to junior artistes and small time models.

He joined me there, and started cuddling up to Shalu's friend at the wedding itself. I took him to the terrace and questioned him about it. He slapped me so hard that I almost fell down.

Back home, he started having affairs Mala, Sona, Mukerji... God knows kitni thi! One of them even called me and threatened to throw acid on me if I didn't leave Raja. Palak started getting sick and I sent her off to my in-laws.

Raja didn't improve. I tried another trick. I called Palak back, thinking, 'kuch toh sharam aayegi is aadmi ko' but to no avail. Roz peeke aata, maarna peetna chalta raha, I still put it up thinking that something will change him. Lekin kuch nahin hua.

And that led to the breaking point?

Not really. Like a fool, I was still going on with him. But June 2007, I saw him cozying up with an actress who is now married. They were doing a play together and he told me

"Shweta, this is it, you are jealous. I love this girl. If u want to stay, you leave and this is how it will remain." And (sighs) I walked out of the house taking Palak with me. I went to my mom's place.

Please continue…

Kitna tolerate kiya tha. He burnt my wrists with cigarettes. He picked up and threw me against the walls. He used to physically and verbally abuse me in front of my parents.

He withdrew money from our joint account and gifted expensive jewellery to his girlfriends. No ornaments came to me. Surely, he wasn't wearing them either.

He was admitted to Maseena for drug and alcohol abuse.

As if I don't know. Nobody knows that I only got him admitted there. Aage aage ambulance chal rahi thi, peeche meri gaadi. Police said iska dimag kharab ho gaya hai, isko drugs chad gayi hai. They were sending him out of the city. I went and met a cop and got the entire hospitalisation done.

When did his drug abuse problem start?

I think it was there since long. He used to smoke some strange stuff and say, 'These are my herbal cigarettes'.

You have filed for divorce. Why is it not coming through?

He wants one of our flats. This profession is unpredictable. What if I need this property for Palak and myself? Both houses are in joint names. I am the first owner as I am the only payer. How can I give him one house? He will sell it and continue his masti. So there is a property dispute.

More?

Recently he even threatened Palak saying, 'Ek saal tu aur badi ho jaa. Tujhe jaan se maar dunga.' I have one bodyguard for her. I have another bodyguard who is constantly guarding my house.

You know what, he had reached a stage where he even started hurting himself with cigarettes, he even broke plates on his head.

He chased me to my shoot. Ekta Kapoor and her mom, Shobhaji have waited up to twelve hours for me if I couldn't make it to the shoot due to Raja's unpredictable behaviour. I used to go there with marks on my face and the makeup man used to patch them up.

Trials and tribulations of a single parent?

None. I was always a single parent.

Now you have Abhinav Kohli in your life?

Shiney Ahuja speaks to Media: I am Innocent, been framed

Shiney Ahuja talks to the press and media, stating about the trauma following the rape case, the isolation from Bollywood and his resolve to get justice.

It's been a traumatic two years for you. How do you look back on the experience?

With acceptance, as a decision from God. Since I am innocent, I just knew that being inside the jail was a part of my karmic journey. I experienced the world as a silent recipient of accusations, mud-slinging, was a butt of jokes– and, at the same time, experienced friends who stood by me, several unknown people who walked up to me and gave me tremendous support with encouraging words, the Tarapore Society, where my home is, who refused to let me give up and gave me and my family the strength to stand. I learnt who my true friends are. I saw a range of people use my situation to their advantage – openly or in guise of help. I saw people come forward and help me selflessly. I learnt the power of positive thinking and applied it to sustain myself everyday. I learnt about life in a way I never could have. All in all, its been a life-altering experience – one that I humbly accept as part of God's plan for me.

For a person who has probably never seen a jail before, how did you cope with life inside?
It is a place no innocent man should ever go to.

A lot of people believe you were dealt an unfair blow because you are a celebrity. What do you feel?
I paid the price of being a celebrity. Right from the first day, a number of selective false stories were planted in the media everyday. As a result, even before I took my first step inside the court, or my lawyer had spoken his first word, I stood convicted in the eyes of the general public. False illusions had assumed the colour of truth at every crucial stage of the legal proceedings.

What were your constant thoughts while you were inside? How did you spend your time?
Initially, I was plagued with a lot of "why" and the terrible pain that my family was going through – that was the hardest part. I meditated and prayed a lot. I read books.

How did you cope with the long periods of separation from your wife, daughter and parents?
It was hard. I am a son of an Army Officer who willingly put his life in the line of enemy fire, fought three battles for his country – he was and is my inspiration – he is my hero. I was particularly worried for him – I had only seen him a strong man, and for the first time, I could see through his pretense – I realised how broken he was. I saw my mother give my father strength while putting up a brave front and hiding her tears. I felt terrible pain and prayed incessantly for their health. I missed my wife and precious days with my daughter – I missed her second birthday and could not eat that whole day. I made a conscious effort to not think about my daughter to remain sane.

During this period of tribulation your wife Anupam has stood by you like a pillar of strength.
She is God's precious gift to me. In her eyes I saw a reflection of my innocence. The purity of her love for me kept reminding me of the good in the world. Her belief in me gave me the maximum strength. Every time I would meet her I got the will to live. And a reason to smile. She is my life.

Why didn't you present your side of the story before?
I did everything by the book – followed every rule. My lawyer always told me to trust the judiciary as the truth is on our side and we have a meritorious case. I could not present my side of the case as it could tantamount to contempt of court - in any event, my lone voice would be drowned in the shrill of falsehood.

Do you feel isolated from the film industry?
I have not felt isolated. The film fraternity has always stood by me, but for a few exceptions, which were the only ones highlighted. I do not blame them as they were reacting to the false publicity

What would your message be to people in the film industry?
The distance between truth and falsehood is four inches – eyes and the ears – so do not be judgmental unless you personally verify the truth.

Now that you're with your family again how do you plan to spend your time?
Cherishing every moment and valuing very second I have with my family and making sure I have many more.

Would you like to return to your career?
Acting is my life and passion. I have never considered doing anything else.

Wife Anupam says "My belief in him never faltered ." Wife Anupam pointed to the lapses done by the laboratory staff, as it admitted that led to erroneous DNA evidence .

A Changed Shiney Ahuja
"After my arrest , I was very low one day . I kept thinking while being taken to court how I should jump before each passing vehicleor howI mustjump off the sea link . But God is always there to help . At Mahalaxmi station , I saw a college boy on crutches struggling to climb two steps and I wondered what I was complaining about ."

Life in Jail
"I was in jail for 142 days . There is no life there . Life is outside," he said , adding , "That's when I understood that hell and heaven are on earth itself. We don't realize while we are leading normal lives with our family , friends and loved ones , how precious each moment is.The freedom to be able to make choices in things we do everyday , a life of freedom is only valued completely once it's taken away from you."

"I spent my days reading a lot. There were many good books that others had I read What Do You Care What Other People Think? by Richard P Feynman and Your Life Is Your Message by Eknath Easwaran .Each day , I would pack my tiny bag . I never did any acts connected with a long-term stay like take monthly milk coupons or ask
for the newspaper."

Shefali Shah's 'slim' Diet Secrets

Shefali Shah's slim figure and her new-found glow at 37 has everyone raving about the makeover of the hot mummy and wife of producer Vipul Shah. So what is the diet secret of Shefali Shah and the new look?

The 37 year old Shefali Shah says, "It wasn't easy at all. I have literally starved myself. It's been one endless diet. It started out with Ketosis, which is an intense offshoot of the Atkins diet. It takes a toll on the body but I did lose about 10 kgs in a month. Then I moved on to a food and exercise-oriented lifestyle to maintain it."

The beaming mother to two kids says that the children do keep her busy and help her lose weight unintentionally. "The job of a homemaker is one of the toughest in the world," exclaimed Shah while Varsha introduced herself as one. "I have two terrorists at home. My sons are aged eight and nine and it's a nightmare.

They not only hate each other but go a step ahead and encourage me to kill their sibling. Once I called home to check up on them and was horrified to hear my younger son insist that our maid jump off from our seventh floor house!"

The woman who played mother to Akshay Kumar ( Akshay Kumar is 5 year old than her..holy cow!) in Waqt 2005 says, "I started with television but back then serials were a lot more meaningful. We had beautiful stories to tell. Now everything seems mass produced.

Theatre is definitely the toughest because I wasn't used to the loud tone and expressions. It took a little doing but I enjoy it. With films, your slightest flicker can be an emotion on the big screen. They are all so challenging and enjoyable. But these days, one needn't be a great actor to be a big star. The criteria have changed."
